FESTIVAL UPDATES

Carol Cleveland is Coming!

It's true...the "7th Python", the "Girl Python", the lady who was in the very first sketch on the very first show and even now appears in Eric Idle's "Not the Messiah" -- is travelling from England to join us for An Evening with Carol Cleveland live and in person at the Palace Theatre as part of Monty Python Madness. Join us Sunday night for a memorable look back at a fascinating career (that's not just Python!). Tickets available now

Nominated for an Emmy!

Yes, the British Emporium has been nominated for an Emmy!

Alright, perhaps that's a slight exaggeration.

The reality is that the documentary miniseries "Monty Python: Almost the Truth - The Lawyer's Cut" is indeed nominated for a Best Direction Emmy award for feature-length documentary. And the British Emporium is a part of the documentary -- you can see us in the credits and on the "Bonus Extras" on the DVD.

Save the Date!

...because it's changing! You only thought that it was October 7-10, didn't you! You couldn't fool Inspector Dim of the Yard. The new correct and not-likely-to-change NEW dates of the festival are September 30 through October 3. (One week earlier for those of you keeping track.) This allows us to continue with several diabolically clever plans we've devised...including the flying in, at great expense from London, a surprise mystery guest. Who is he? (Or she?) Stay tuned....

It's Quiet Around Here...too quiet...

But that's about to change. We're busy behind the scenes, scurrying around with plans and knocking over things and setting them back right again to assemble a new Monty Python Madness for 2010. Watch this space, and look for our soon-to-launch Facebook page too.

But no Twitter -- we've had enough with the twits.

So Long and Thanks for all the Fish!

(Wait, that's another British humorist, isn't it? Oh well...) Our thanks go out to all our many participants, audience members, friends and sponsors of this year's Monty Python Madness Charity Festival. A loony time was had by all, and although we're still adding up the final numbers, we raised thousands of dollars for the Joey Wilkins Foundation.

We've now posted slideshows from various moments of the Festival on this website under each of the menus, so have a look around and enjoy the madness one more time!

Don't forget the Raffle!

While you're at the Emporium, or at the live tribute show, or at the film screenings, don't forget to pull out a dollar and enter our raffle for PythonPrizes! (or put down a fiverand get 6 chances to win!) All proceeds go to support the Joey Wilkins Foundation.

Rave Review for Live Show...

The first weekend of "Monty Python Live at the Palace" is history, and the reviews are in. We're quite pleased to
report that both the audience exiting the theater and critical reviews say it's a hit!

"Brilliantly recreated 26 of the best sketches from the Monty Python TV series and films" says Dora Aguilera, Fort Worth Theater Examiner.

Read her full review here.

Then purchase advance tickets for the final performances, July 30 and 31.

Did you see us on Fox 4 news Friday morning?

You didn't? Here's your chance, then:
